Aramaic

Aramaic is spoken in Iraq, Iran, and Syria, and is used liturgically as well. In Biblical times it was written in the Hebrew alphabet. Since that appeals to the people in the USA, since parts of the Old Testament are in Aramaic, that is the alphabet used here.

I also have it in typeset versions, but I have been finding a greater appreciation for handwritten scripts on peace poles.

Aramaic translation of "May Peace Prevail on Earth"

Some have used Aramaic on peace poles for Assyrian and Syriac, but it is not what modern speakers of Assyrian use in their everyday lives. What they use is at this link: Assyrian.
